2024 Legacy Brunch

2024 Legacy Brunch
Jewish Community Foundation Director Erika Rimson welcomes donors attending the 2024 Legacy Celebration.

The JCC courtyard was abuzz with 75+ kibbitzing folks serenaded by the klezmer duo Di Kavene Kapelye on June 9th. The Jewish Community Foundation of NM hosted its annual Legacy Celebration brunch thanking donors for making endowment gifts or commitments through Life & Legacy.

Life & Legacy, a program presented in partnership with the Harold Grinspoon Foundation since 2019, continues to deliver valuable resources to sustain Jewish NM:

  • 340 legacy donors have made over 444 endowment pledges and gifts with total estimated value of $6.6 million.
  • The Life & Legacy initiative has generated current gifts to organization endowment funds held at the Jewish Community Foundation of over $923,000.

Participating organizations and programs include Congregations Albert, B’nai Israel, Nahalat Shalom, HaMakom, Temple Beth Shalom and Los Alamos Jewish Center, and the JCC, the Jewish Care Program, and the NM Jewish Historical Society.

Dan Newman, the Jewish Community Foundation’s board chair, and Executive Director Erika Rimson, shared that it is an honor and responsibility to embrace community and assure Jewish tomorrows in New Mexico.
